PA / Production Assistant

The Walk Productions – producers of the multi award-winning journeys of Little Amal – are seeking a PA / Production Assistant to join our small and ambitious team. The ideal candidate will ambitious and creative, with meticulous attention to detail, and will care deeply about bringing change through public art.

Main Duties to include:

  • Personal assistant to the Artistic Director Amir Nizar Zuabi and the Executive Producer
  • Being the first point of contact for all enquiries
  • General administrative support to the whole team including:
    • arranging meetings in person and on zoom maintaining the company calendar
    • setting up and issuing zoom links
    • taking minutes
    • circulating action points
    • booking travel, transport or other reservations for the AD and EP, and preparing travel itineraries, boarding passes and airport transfers
    • miscellaneous tasks to support the AD and EP
  • Basic bookkeeping including expenditure logging, petty cash management and credit card use logging
  • Collate production related information such as press clippings
  • Ongoing maintenance of our websites for The Herds and Little Amal
  • Meticulous maintenance of the company Dropbox and Google Doc systems

Because this is a new role for our organisation, you will also have the opportunity to develop the role around your strengths.

Personal Specification (Essential):

  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience working in a PA or Production Assistant position.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team and self-motivated to work on your own initiative as required.
  • Excellent attention to detail, methodical, with the ability to generate imaginative solutions to challenges.
  • Tact, diplomacy and discretion.
  • A hardworking, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, including both UK and overseas travel as required.

Personal Specification (Desirable):

  • An interest in theatre and the arts.
  • Advanced IT and digital skills.
  • Basic level book keeping and budget management Language skills.
