Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church
In This Church, Y’all Means All. Historic St. Luke’s is an affirming congregation striving to promote justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. As an Episcopal (Anglican) Church, many stories of immigration and the African Diaspora are present in the congregation. We are a multicultural, multiethnic faith community, whose current sanctuary was built by Greek Orthodox immigrants and later purchased by the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, largely immigrants from the Caribbean, Central and South America, and the western coast of Africa. St. Luke’s is a truly unique Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Louisiana. Its diversity and heritage is reflected in its people and in its love of music; spiritual, joyful, soulful, traditional, and transcendent.
