Amal experiences a practice alarm drill during a school field trip to the Woodruff Arts Center. She is frightened and confused.
Yolanda Renee King comforts Amal and shares a message of hope inspired by the legacy of her grandfather, Martin Luther King Jr. Together, they rally their class and the Atlanta community into imagining a different world.
Special guest artists include Atlanta activist and author Yolanda Renee King, High Museum’s Teen Team, Global Village Project Chorus, Alif Institute’s youth drummers and the South Atlanta Sonic Boom Drumline.
In partnership with Alliance Theater, High Museum, Global Village Project, Refuge Coffee Co., Alif Institute and the Mayor’s Office of International & Immigrant Affairs.
