The Big Dream
Date: 17 May 2024
Local Start Time: 8:00 pm
Location: St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast
After a day exploring the city, Amal is tired and needs a safe place to sleep. She is welcomed into St Anne’s Cathedral, to seek sanctuary, to listen to song by community choirs and hear a bedtime story. To keep her warm, a patchwork quilt is offered to her with over 100 patches, co-created with residents and hand sewn by refugee women.
As she drifts into sleep, the cathedral comes alive with her dreams with immersive projections. What has Little Amal been thinking about?
Join us for an evening of original music and art as the cathedral is transformed into a celestial world to help Little Amal feel at home.
