Little Amal at Beann Mhadagáin
Date: 19 May 2024
Local Start Time: 7:00 pm
Location: Cavehill / Belfast Castle
Amal’s journey in Belfast comes to an end. We bid her farewell at Beann Mhadagáin – Ben Madigan, known today as Cavehill. She meets the Tuatha Dé Danann, Ireland’s ancient deities and fairy folk who reside in the otherworld.
There will be a fire ceremony to honour The Morrigan, An Dagda, Manannán Mac Lir and Bríd, bringing the elements of Earth, Air, Water, Fire and Spirit together to create magic in order to provide protection to Amal for her onward journey.
Join us to say goodbye to Amal with a magical evening of music, dance and street performance inspired by centuries old Celtic mythology.
Please note parking is not available in the grounds of Cavehill Park. Designated arrangements have been made at Ben Madigan School near to the park.
