Little Amal Walks NYC is a co-production between The Walk Productions and St. Ann’s Warehouse in association with Handspring Puppet Company. Between 14 September – 2 October Amal will be welcomed at 55 events across the five boroughs of New York City.

Billie Holiday Theatre
The Billie is one of the last remaining theaters forged in the aesthetic and sociocultural kiln of America’s civil rights/black arts movements.
The Obie and AUDELCO Award-winning Billie Holiday Theatre is a state-of-the-art creative campus located at Restoration Plaza in the historic Black cultural mecca of Bedford Stuyvesant, home to such artistic luminaries as Lena Horne, Max Roach, Eubie Blake, Stepahnie Mills, Ben Vereen, Jay Z, Yasiin Bey, and more and the only multi-platform performing arts center with a 22-year old education program led by, for, and accountable to people of African descent in the heart of the largest African American community in the nation: Central Brooklyn. For 50 years, The Billie has elevated and promoted the critical voices of Black artists, and the stories of the complex journey toward freedom for people of African descent, a journey that is far from over.
Brooklyn United
The Brooklyn United Music and Arts Program (BU) is a community-based organization that serves New York City youth. As an art form, marching band combines the elements of musicianship and pageantry and allows each student to participate in an all encompassing and life changing activity. Brooklyn United is focused on the development of youth through Academic Support, Character Development, Skills Building and Performance Opportunities. It is through these pillars that we strive to build strong, well rounded, healthy, confident and capable young people.
Little Sun People, Inc
Little Sun People, Inc is the story of Luminary African descendent children who have grown up to shape the world and become leaders of the future. We instill each child with the pride that they know their true place in the world and they find joyfulness in their African heritage.
Kaisokah Moko Jumbies
Kaisokah Moko Jumbies U.S.A. Inc. is a stilt dancing group that was formed by three young men in 2010 who shared the love for stilt dancing and its culture. Kaisokah Moko Jumbies U.S.A. Inc. has currently over 50 members and growing, ranging from the ages of 4-25. Kaisokah Moko Jumbies USA inc has train individuals in different parts of the United States.
AbunDance Academy of the Arts
AbunDance Academy of the Arts’ mission is to guide students through the exploration, preparation and practice of pre-professional dance, providing in-depth instruction in Ballet, African, Modern, Hip-Hop and Audition Prep. During the program year, our students are also provided enrichment in Yoga, Vocal, Performing Arts History, Choreography, Gymnastics, and Health/ Fitness. Through their dance training, seminars, workshops and performance exposure, students explore and develop the ability to connect their dance and performance skills to that of their academic, artistic and overall life pursuits. Alumna have successfully completed Arts programs at the industry’s top institutions, many receiving partial and/or full scholarships . Notable affiliations include Brooklyn Nets Dance Team, LaGuardia HS, The Ailey School, Mark Twain School, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Martha Graham School, among others. Conveniently located at 90 Sullivan Place in Brooklyn, AbunDance Academy of the Arts is truly a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization where “In AbunDance, there’s Dance!”
